It looks like the Cannondale Quick 5 uses standard V-brakes such as the Avid Single Digit brakes or Shimano V-brakes found here:

You can mount newer road Caliper brakes to the frame but you will need to know what drop you require before fitting them. Take the frame to a bike shop to get this confirmed.
