Questions & Answers for Cycling Waterproof Jackets
Question
Could you recommend a waterproof jacket for commuting which doesn't cause you to boil inside...
I currently have an Endura Luminite which is useless - unless it's absolutely freezing I get so hot & sweaty inside, it defeats the purpose of wearing it (especially on wet but not very cold days). Also, I commute wearing a rucksack or shoulder bag, so vents don't appear to work very well. Happy to pay for something that works, hi-vis a bonus. Cheers.

Totally reccomend the Altura Night Vision Evo jacket. Just bought one and very breathable and certainly bright. Not tested in the rain yet, but all the reviews are good.

You will always sweat when cycling so generally you will always get wet when wearing a waterproof jacket. Some prefer to wear just a windproof to keep the cold out as getting wet is usually unavoidable in the rain. If you want a waterproof jacket with the best possible breathability get a Gore-Tex jacket and try to avoid any layers or liners.
Of the dbh waterproof jackets which one would recommend for touring.
i.e. One which was 100% waterproof but was easy to carry in a pocket.

Where to buy a hood for my cycling jacket?
I purchased a red Gore-Tex Berghaus Haven Jacket a couple of years ago which has 5 studs around the collar for attaching a hood. Can these still be purchased separately?

Question
Waterproof yellow poncho ?
I am an all weather cyclist and need a waterproof (not vinyl or plastic) yellow poncho with a hood. I have a very good waterproof jacket and trousers that prove very hot on long journeys. The cheap plastic (not waterproof) poncho I have keeps me covered (front panel goes over my handle bars) and cool. WHERE can I get a good brightly coloured 100% waterproof poncho that is NOT plastic?
